Dr V Martins

Dr Vera Martins is an independent GP working in West Kent, concentrated around Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells. She obtained her medical certificate in 2011 from Kings College London School of Medicine. She also has a Nutrition BSc from Kings College London. She became a GP in 2017 having completed her vocational training locally at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. She has worked as an NHS doctor for over 10 years and has developed a broad range of skills and knowledge in all specialities of medicine. She has a special interest in women’s health, including menopause which she is completing her certification in, and is an experienced coil and intrauterine device fitter. 

 

Dr Martins has been working in the Kent & Medway Post COVID Service since it started in May 2021 and has a particular interest in Long COVID. She has presented her experience and knowledge to GPs in Kent and Medway. 

 

She also has experience and a special interest in the care of older adults and has been working as a frailty GP in the Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone South areas. She enjoys managing complex medical needs and strives to promote holistic care for her patients. 

 

Dr Martins has a clinic at Nuffield Hospital Tunbridge Wells on Tuesdays. She is also available for telephone and video consultations as well as home visits.
